About

Our Mission

Grounded Landscape Restoration is focused on creating healthier, more resilient outdoor environments through thoughtful landscape restoration and care. We take a grounded approach to every project, working with the natural character of the land to promote ecosystem function, encourage healthy growth, and create landscapes built to thrive over time.

Our work is rooted in the belief that a successful landscape should be more than beautiful. It should serve as piece of the local ecosystem to support native species and provide lasting value for the people and communities it serves.

Our mission is to restore and strengthen landscapes through intentional, responsible practices that respect the local ecosystem and support long-term growth. We aim to create beautiful outdoor spaces that are naturally connected to their surroundings and provide resources for local wildlife.

Our Methods

  • Chemical-free removal

    • Traditional herbicides can linger in the soil, drift on the wind, and pose safety risks to your family, pets, and wildlife. By using targeted, manual removal methods, we are able to thoroughly remove invasive species without creating any risks to you or your yard.

  • Keep natural materials on-site

    • Retaining things like branches, leaves, and organic topsoil in your yard provides many benefits for your soil and the local ecosystem. These materials provide habitat for pollinators and other small wildlife, they promote beneficial fungi that enrich the soil, and they can be converted to free compost or mulch for use in your yard. By leaving these natural materials on-site, we are able to reduce waste, support wildlife, and lower your overall project and disposal costs.

  • Preserve existing native species

    • Whenever possible, we prioritize preserving the native species already thriving in your yard. However, there are times where certain native species can behave too aggressively or grow in less-than-ideal spaces. In those cases, we will carefully transplant them to a new location or remove them entirely.
